Aaron Brady, who shot and killed Det Garda Adrian Donohoe, has pleaded responsible to perverting the course of justice throughout his homicide trial in 2020.
At a Particular Legal Courtroom listening to on Thursday, Brady accepted that he was liable for recording footage of a Garda interview with Ronan Flynn, a witness who instructed gardaí he had heard Brady admit to capturing Det Garda Donohoe 3 times.
The video was later posted on social media accusing Mr Flynn of “touting” and calling him a “rat”. Mr Flynn didn’t give proof at Brady’s trial and Mr Justice Michael White, who oversaw the homicide trial, described the discharge of the footage as “probably the most outrageous contempt of courtroom” and a transparent try and intimidate Mr Flynn and different witnesses.
