The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) says it’s going to examine after an engine cowl on a Southwest Airways Boeing 737-800 fell off throughout take-off in Denver and struck the wing flap.
Southwest Flight 3695 returned safely to Denver Worldwide Airport round 8.15 am native time on Sunday and was towed to the gate. The Boeing plane with 135 passengers and 6 crew members aboard had been headed to William P. Interest Airport in Houston.
Nobody was injured.
Southwest mentioned it was flying passengers on one other aircraft to Houston roughly three hours not on time. Southwest mentioned upkeep groups have been reviewing the plane.
The aircraft entered service in June 2015, in keeping with FAA data. Boeing referred inquiries to Southwest for details about the airline’s aeroplane and fleet operations.
The airline declined to say when the aircraft’s engine had final had upkeep.

A Southwest 737-800 flight on 22 March returned to Fort Lauderdale airport after the crew reported an engine subject. It’s also being reviewed by the FAA.
