A direct flight connecting Cape City Worldwide Airport (CPT) to London Gatwick Airport (LGW) has been launched.
Cape City Air Entry and Norse Atlantic Providers launched the route in response to a 54% improve in two-way passenger move between Cape City and the UK (UK) in 2023.
As reported by Moneyweb, Norse will function three weekly flights alongside this route, beginning 28 October 2024.
The direct flight is about to extend the variety of worldwide flights between Cape City and the UK to 27 per week throughout the Worldwide Air Transport Affiliation’s 2024/25 winter season, which coincides with South Africa’s summer season season.
In a press launch, Cape City Air Entry, an award-winning air-route improvement undertaking powered by Wesgro, said that the brand new flight will ‘stimulate financial progress within the area and contribute to job creation within the tourism sector’.
It added that the brand new service will increase traveller choices between London and Cape City, particularly for ‘price-sensitive South African passengers’.
