Well, this was a soft but heart-felt criticism of Israel, Netanyahu and the IDF. Colbert is at the top of his game. His criticism matters because he has a very large audience. Israel better get its act together and AIPAC better stop its lies and coverups of Israeli atrocities and inhumanity. More importantly, Israel better stop taking US help for granted. Americans know its their 2000, 1000 and 500 pound bombs, provided to the IDF for free, that has killed 40,000 Palestinian civilians, including 16,000 children. It has also damaged nearly 70% of all buildings and housing in Gaza. Americans know they have created and maintained in Israel a shitty little genocidal monster. They are sick of it.

This just in: a white non-Jewish/Muslim/Middle Eastern man who lives in the lap of luxury in a western country thinks Israel should ‘just end the war’ and not defend herself and simply accept that being subjected to systematic rape, kidnapping, murder, etc. is just the price of admission for having the audacity to exist while being Jewish. This incident is a tragedy, and yes, unfortunately civilians die in war (including ones fought by the United States) and the incident should certainly be investigated. But seriously, do better Colbert.
Food is a weapon. And so are sanitation, healthcare, homes. And Israel have destroyed all of that. They desire the whole population to be wiped out and they are doing this on purpose.
Anyone who casually say, “it happens during war” most likely never been through war, never suffered through war, never had their family and friends be wiped out in front of them, and they’re most likely sitting in a comfy chair at home surrounded by plentiful food and safety.
There is no book called war. There are just things in wars u should not do, because u are a human.Point. There should be no discussion .Point .
