Elderly man charged with killing Uber driver apparently victim of scam

It's interesting the way you framed this story trying to paint the murderer as the victim. That unarmed woman was backing away crying for help and he shot her multiple times. He is no victim and shame on you for attempting to make it seem like his actions were some horrible mistake. It was murder, plain and simple.

So is this another one of the good guys with a gun?

When someone pulls a gun on you, don't try to get in a car and flee like its just another delivery. She might have taken him seriously and not tried to run away and maybe talk with him instead of walking away like its not a gun pointed at you.

Unbelievable & so sad that this woman was killed all because of a scam! I sure hope these people feel remorse every single day. So unfair for her family. Please! he was just racist. Why did he take her phone? He did not call the cops when she arrived. She was unarmed.

He lost all of his fear and you can see he was bullying her backing her up around the car several times. Any fear he had was gone and he was going to teach her a lesson and I believe that it was easier for him to shoot her because she was black. I don't know that it's just a feeling I have by watching the video that he was probably sick of being scammed but sick of watching on television and he was just going to Simply teach her a lesson. I'm sorry that someone was scamming him but he was in full control and he needs to go to prison whether he's an old man or not he's a danger.

I believe a clarification is needed for this scenario:

The old man is a victim of a scam/death threat.
The old woman is a victim of murder.
The scammer is a perpetrator and an accomplice of murder.

BOTH the scammer and the old guy should be jailed.

He should have reported it, not take the matter in his own hands. She never produced a gun… He's out on bond!? Next you'll be saying he got away with killing her! smh!

This is a very scary situation. We need to do our best to keep scammers at bay. I am saying that we need to have some kind of scam-proof protection of cellular and home phones. People get lots of phone calls per day, and the calls need to be regulated so tragedies like this do not occur.
