Expedia says Rathi Murthy and Sreenivas Rachamadugu, respectively its CTO and senior vp of core services and products product & engineering, are not hired on the move reserving corporate.
In a remark shared with Bloomberg and somewhere else, Expedia mentioned Murthy and Rachamadugu are “no longer employed at Expedia Group” because of an unspecified “violation of company policy.”
“We’re actively searching to fill these roles and remain confident in our technology, strategy, and employees,” the corporate mentioned. “Due to confidentiality, we will not be making any further comments on the matter.”
TechCrunch reached out to Expedia for affirmation and supplementary remark. We will be able to replace this put up if we listen again.
Murthy’s and Rachamadugu’s departures seem to be surprising. Murthy stated to TechCrunch concerning the unused AI-powered options introduced previous this presen, and she or he reportedly gave a presentation on the ones options at an Expedia convention with industry companions.
They each joined Expedia in 2021, coming from TechCrunch’s then-parent corporate Verizon Media (now Yahoo).
This isn’t the corporate’s handiest fresh management trade. Ariane Gorin, who used to be introduced as Expedia Staff’s unused CEO in February, formally took over this presen.
