The media is scared to death of Trump. It’s all about TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP…. WHY ARENT THEY ASKING THESE SAME QUESTIONS TO OTHER JURORS IN OTHER TRIALS? And she doesn’t seemed to be worried AT ALL about “the protocols” of the jury selection process. Just my opinion.
As for the questions they are asking her… the MEDIA IS trying to be lawyers and question her like a Witness about TRUMP… their questions had suggestive answers in them rather than letting her give her own answers. So she had to clarify her own meaning behind the reason For selecting which suggestion THEY GAVE HER TO CHOOSE FROM. This came off as completely biased reporting. Media trying people on tv as if they are judge.

People here seem to be focusing on the "only country in the world with this system" comment. What I'm wondering is do other countries with the jury system also have the right of refusal when choosing potential jurors? Perhaps that was what sparked that comment???
I've been on juries several times and this woman is intelligent, claims to be able to be objective, and I think that's true, but I also have experienced persons with their own agendas being able to skate through the selection process only to find out after the trial was over and the verdict decided. Luckily, in one case I sat on, the verdict was correct IMHO, and none of the rest of the people on the jury brought up the comment, post trial, that one juror with an agenda made with the judge or defense lawyer. On the whole I think most people are strongly aware that it's not just their civic duty, but also the decision is life changing for both sides in a case and try very hard to be impartial and fair.
When the young lady asked if the potential jurors talked about the case while sitting around in the jury pool….when we were sitting waiting for jury selection we were instructed to NOT talk about the trial, and if selected, not to read newspapers, watch TV, look at social media or discuss the case even with our families, or with other jurors when we went to lunch! Is that true in all states?
As to the comments on whether jurors names should be made public…the woman interviewed isn't going to be a juror and if she didn't want to be interviewed she could have declined. The names of sitting jurors shouldn't be made public and their names should be sealed and not public for their safety and their families given the state of the world we now live in. Just my two cents.
I don't think anyone in this country is totally neutral about nasty Dump. How could you be? Either you can't stand him because you see what a horrible, deceitful person he is, or you are deluded and deep in the MAGA cult!! He has divided this country completely!!
