Low percentage of voting is not a good sign of democracy. It gives misleading and confusing results/ Govts.
People need to be persuaded to discharge their main duty to vote with utmost sincerity.
Though compulsary voting is a controversial matter, but we need suitable laws to increase percentage of voting.
All possible modes of voting; voting before election date, voting through dak, adequate facilities for disabled voters to vote at polling booths, provision to vote from home, need to be introduced.
The importance of voting be suitably covered in the syllabus of schools and colleges.
Suggestions from people be invited.
Good practices of countries where large percentage voting is seen. be studied and adopted to the extent possible.
We need making govt which really enjoys support of majority. That is true democracy
