Why on earth was he flying in a tiny UH1 Huey? That is an extremely old helicopter I’m sure it’s from the Shaw of Iran years. Why wasn’t he in a larger business helicopter or even a larger Russian helicopter better equipped for flying in fog like this? Huey’s are awesome helicopters but I’ve never heard of them being set up to fly in IFR conditions like heavy fog. I guess anything is possible just I would think it would’ve been safer to just put off the trip till after weather cleared up. I hear people talk about Israeli conspiracies by really the only thing that caused this accident was pilot spacial disorientation leading to the crash. I’m sure the pilot took his eyes off the instrument panel and tried to get his bearing in the heavy fog and got disoriented and panicked causing the crash. Once you lose orientation you can be upside down and not know it. I hate Irans government but don’t wish anyone dead. I hope we can all learn from this accident around the world. Waiting for weather to clear up is always better than taking the chance and never making it to your destination. I’d rather be late than dead.

At 0:47…helicopters do not have an airplane-style rudder on the tailfin. Also, Bell 212 helicopters have a tailrotor attached to the verticle tailfin…no evidence of one in the '1136' finned photo. Not 'completely burned'…the tailboom and horiz. stabilizers are intact for the most part. Get your facts and photos straight before making a headline like this. 5 minutes of research would help here.
