Jewel doesn’t wish to assemble amends along with her mom.
The 49-year-old singer accused her Lenedra Carroll of embezzling her multi-million greenback fortune some years in the past and now she has defined that she “doesn’t have a relationship” along with her mom in any respect, nor does she imagine in “forgiveness” in any respect.
She informed Community: “Our relationship messed with my head so much. It was so much psychological abuse that I was afraid to let a therapist get close to me. But I don’t personally believe in forgiveness. I don’t have to have a relationship with my mom to heal. I don’t have to hear her say ‘I’m sorry.’ Not all of us get the storybook ending, and that’s OK. We can still heal.”
The ‘Silly Video games’ singer defined that attaining just right psychological heal is a “side effect” of items operating in solidarity and is ambitious to stay “curious” about her personal self-discovery, and desires others to do the similar.
She stated: “For me, mental health and emotional well-being is a side effect of our three spheres working in harmony. And suffering is a side effect if they aren’t. It’s about being curious about ourselves and discovery. It’s about being aware of our three realms and being committed that we can change it and have input in it.”
Jewel realised when she used to be 34 that she used to be $3 million in debt and has accused her mother Leandra Carroll of getting”stolen” her fortune.
Talking at the ‘Verywell Thoughts’ podcast, she informed host and therapist Amy Morin: “34 years old, I realise I’m $3 million in debt, realise my mom stole it, realise everything I thought my mom was isn’t what she was.
“Very tough mental factor to return to phrases with.
“I didn’t realise what my mom was until I was 30-something. I woke up and realised she embezzled all of my money, over $100 million.”
