Johannesburg-based biker, Kyle Malyon, has simply accomplished a 21-day bike experience throughout South Africa to boost funds for orphaned elephants beneath the care of HERD Belief.
With a ardour for mild giants and hitting the open street, Joburg biker Kyle Malyon set out on a country-wide 21-day journey – dubbed the ‘Mammoth Trip’ – to make a distinction within the lives of orphaned elephants beneath care at Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Growth (HERD).
The journey noticed Kyle hit the tarmac – and dust roads – of all 9 of South Africa’s provinces to boost funds for the household of orphaned elephants.
From Johannesburg to Hoedspruit, East London, Port St Johns, Knysna, Hout Bay, and again house once more – with a number of scenic stops dotted alongside the way in which, together with a go to to the Hoedspruit herd he can be supporting by the fundraiser.
By day 20 of his journey, Malyon had lined a complete of 6834km of open street, driving by rain or shine, elevating funds for HERD Belief through Quicket.
Alongside the way in which, Malyon hosted a number of meet-ups to rally supporters who would get behind the trigger. Some bikers even joined in for the journey, travelling as much as 100km alongside Kyle.

Funds raised by Kyle shall be donated to the Jabulani elephant herd, beneath care at HERD.
The Jabulani’s are a close-knit household that began with Jabulani, an orphaned elephant who was rescued in 1997, and a herd of elephants that have been rescued from Zimbabwe in 2002.
Through the years, the herd has continued to simply accept orphaned elephant calves in want of a household. Collectively, they fortunately roam and forage within the wilderness with their loyal carers on the Hoedspruit Elephant Rehabilitation and Growth base.
Presently, based on HERD’s web site, there are a complete of 17 elephants and two sheep beneath care on the facility.
Kyle’s efforts to assist the belief haven’t gone unnoticed, with HERD expressing their gratitude for his nationwide mission to make a distinction.
