I hate how this tragedy has become focused on migrant worker safety when the same could have said for anyone on any bus…senior citizens going to a casino, a high school band traveling for an away gang, or everyday people who don't have their own transportation. The bus didn't cause these people to die and become injured. The drunk driver who has 20 previous dui convictions, yes 20, caused this devastation. If we are going to consider hypocritical "what if's, What if 20 dui convictions was enough of a risk to public safety for someone to have kept this man incarcerated?

A repeated DUI offender killed 8 innocent men who were in their way to work. He is being charged with involuntary manslaughter. This is a First degree murder. When you have someone who continues to drive drunk and is aware of the consequences that have been repeated over and over, it is murder. And now the innocent survivors are kept silent in their apartments without permission to contact loved ones. You are not going to keep this one under the rug. 😡

I won't be surprised if a racist judge in Florida slaps this guy on the hand because he's White and if anything gives him one year in county jail and a couple years of probation after killing 8, maybe even more hard working farmworkers who were on their way to do the hard jobs none of us American born citizens want to do….and that's a proven FACT! Farmworkers the majority that come from another country are visa workers they pay a lot of taxes to be here and work jobs that regardless of what people say no one wants to do. It’s called H2A visas that was expanded under Trump. They are not illegal. Growers use this visa to contract workers from over 80 countries. These worker stay in our country for several months out of the year when it’s crop season and then they return home. It’s been going on since 1986. Shocking that you don’t know this…
