Analyst have said air drones aren’t an option because of small warhead. Definitely. But even maritime drones have a quite small warhead. They are able to damage the bridge but this damage was modest. Cruise missiles have even smaller warhead and this bridge is protected so it would be waste of missiles. In case the most succesfull attack (with a truck) it was used more than 20 t equivalent TNT. It is very difficult to destroy or even damage something like bridge (and very heavily guarded one) from outside. But Ukraine will definitely try it. It is very important touze for military equipment as well as symbol.

The bridge is all prefab. The Russians simply remove the damaged area and replace it fairly quickly. With the railway, Russia is well into building a railway corridor by land that will diminish Ukrainian efforts further completely out of range of Ukraine's artillery

I'm not sure why Ukraine insist on wasting it's limited resources on bridge that carries mostly symbolic importance. If the bridge had any real strategic value it would have been destroyed long ago.
