The Karnataka Police seized money and ornaments price Rs 7.5 crore from the home of a jewelry store proprietor in Ballari on Sunday afternoon.
Based mostly on a tip-off, Ballari Deputy Superintendent of Police Chandrakantha Nanda Reddy and Bruce Pet police inspector M N Sindhoor raided the residence of Naresh Soni, proprietor of Hema Jewellers.
Ballari SP Ranjith Kumar Bandaru stated the police seized Rs 5.6 crore in money, 3 kg of gold price Rs 1.4 crore, and silver ornaments price Rs 42 lakh.
“Now we have but to determine whether or not the money and ornaments have been stored to be distributed for the Lok Sabha elections marketing campaign, arrived via the Hawala route, or are associated to Soni’s enterprise.
