MOSCOW (Reuters) – Russia can’t be a goal for Islamic fundamentalists, President Vladimir Putin stated on Thursday, almost two weeks after at the very least 144 individuals have been killed close to Moscow in a mass taking pictures that was claimed by Islamic State militants.
“Now we have each cause to imagine that the principle objective of those that ordered the bloody, terrible terrorist act in Moscow was to wreck our unity,” Putin stated in televised feedback.
“There aren’t any different targets seen, there are none, as a result of Russia can’t be the goal of terrorist assaults by Islamic fundamentalists. We’re a rustic that demonstrates a novel instance of interfaith concord and unity, of inter-religious and inter-ethnic unity.”
Russia has repeatedly stated the assault was ordered by Ukraine, whereas not offering proof to again that assertion. Ukraine has denied involvement and the US – which warned Russia beforehand of an impending assault by Islamist militants – has stated Moscow’s model is nonsense.
