April 11: QED Protocol, the world’s first zk-native blockchain protocol, along with StarkWare, zkLink, Mina Protocol, O(1) Labs, introduced the launch of the L2O Consortium, a bunch of initiatives and protocols dedicated to bringing Bitcoin’s native safety, web scale, and interoperability to functions and Layer 2 options. In keeping with a press launch: “The consortium is growing reference implementations, instruments, and sources for builders trying to construct DApps or deploy Layer 2s on high of Bitcoin and allow trustless interoperability between functions by coordinating requirements throughout options, leveraging ordinals and zero-knowledge proofs to bridge the technical gaps that beforehand hampered sensible contract-like performance on Bitcoin.” The reference implementations are right here within the challenge documentation.
