Two males have been arrested following the seizure of hashish estimated to be price €2.4 million in Co Meath.
The seizure was made on Tuesday following a joint intelligence-led operation involving the Garda Nationwide Medication and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and the Income’s Customs Service.
Income officers seized roughly 120kg of natural hashish which has an estimated worth of €2.4 million.
A Garda spokeswoman mentioned the medicine seized will probably be despatched to Forensic Science Eire for additional evaluation whereas investigations are ongoing.
The 2 males arrested by gardaí, each aged of their 50s, are at the moment detained below part two of the Legal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996 at a Garda station in Meath.
