When the US was the No.1 economy and manufacturer, it care less about other countries, chugging ahead with their productions, no playing fair with others. But now that China is getting ahead being the world's leading manufacturer and the US is losing out, it wants China to be on level playing field or do a balance trade. Telling others not to produce so much? Baloney!
Starting three years ago, Commerical Department of US already instructed their importers to cut orders from China. I wonder if that is level playing field? From economic perspective, ultimate level playing field could only be achieved when the GPD per capita and the salary level of both countries are similar. While China's unemployment is so much higher than United States, yet Yellen still want to suppress China' production capacity to save guard their own employment. Is such demand what US meant by level playing field????
