1. GDP looks good due to inflation increasing consumer expenditures, rate hikes haven’t changed consumer habits—this is not a strong economy
2. Inflation is increasing again
3. High Interest rate is not sustainable because the government debt can’t be serviced for extended time at the high interest rate.
4. If the fed cuts interest rate, inflation is going take off and the US dollar tanks(gold and crypto buyers already banking on it). If the fed doesn’t cut interest rate the government debt is going to have to be monetized by the FED to pay the interest by printing up more dollars, more inflation
and foreign govs are already dumping our treasuries trying to get out of dollars.

FED is going to do nothing for now. 5% is the new normal for a while until the FED cracks and cuts. Prices will go way up when they do.

Talking about rate reductions and hikes. I think we are in new territory. US$ as reserve currency, …… with our current debt continuing to grow as Congress continues to increase government spending on a quarterly basis, …. keeping government open, ….. ….. by the Feds staying fast …. can be the equivalent of a rate cut. Our base rate is highly suspect …. the new zero may be 4%! Yes, another market distortion caused by ballooning debt.

The Stock Exchanges world wide need to be overhauled. They are not doing what they were first designated to do. Raise capital for projects that required large amounts of finance. The trading of stock should be curtailed. I.e. a cool down period of a minimum of 3 weeks before they can be traded again. No shares to be traded 2 weeks prior or after the company posts it profits. In other words "cool it down" some. It would go a long way to controlling fraud, among other crimes.
