The federal government says one of the simplest ways out of poverty is to paintings. However for hundreds of thousands of hired crowd in the United Kingdom, it’s simply now not plenty.

Mumbai Weather Today | Mumbai Witnesses First Rain Of Season, Accompanied By Massive Dust Storm
Mumbai witnessed the primary rains of the season, accompanied by means of a immense duststorm which became the sky unlit...
Same in Australia, tent cities popping up everywhere. Working class people unable to afford rent, food and medicines. Horrible…PMs giving themselves fat pay rises on the backs of tax payers money
Is the cost of living .it has skyrocket all things are expensive
Tories did this to the population by design
slums of uk. we should do a poverty tourism in UK
The key is to pinch pennies even when you can afford not to, most people during good times waste what they make and end up destitute when times go bad.
How is it 51 Million Americans are struggling with rent increases and Biden give Ukraine Another $61 BILLION in Military Aid ????
Let’s have a look at these three families in the video.
1) nice house, two fridge-freezers, nice scarf, three kids, no father, all her jobs have been low paid and part time. Several clues there as to why she claims to be struggling despite signs of wealth on show.
2) obese woman claims to have to use food bank. Why are food bank users always obese and claim they are starving and hungry most of the time? Anyway, this obese food bank user also has a child with no father on the scene.
3) this family have migrated here in the last year and surprise surprise, have not walked into high paying career. They have no UK CV, possibly low level qualifications as most Africans don’t finish primary school so are not capable of getting high paid work. They have four children and the father has a round stomach.
Why are these documentaries on poverty never full of people who have made good choices, work full time, have two parents at home who both work full time and they often have several children and all the latest tech and stuff I can’t afford? And they claim poverty. These documentaries are disingenuous to say the least.
There is no need for anyone in this country to be “poor”. There are jobs on indeed, there are low rents with all bills included which is the set up I have in a nice neighbourhood, a nice house with a nice garden.
One documentary on the poorest area of the uk in Wales showed that most people in the area get takeaways and deliveries most days, even three times per day in one woman’s case.
So let’s stop lying. People do have enough. They just make different decisions to what many of us would make. We are not living in the 80s again or the 1920s. People have big tvs, they have nice homes, big sofas, expensive trainers, tattoos, phones, tablets… all stuff we never had when I was growing up.
People are not poor. They misuse their money, they work part time, they have a number of kids without a father around, they have expensive tastes and just make poor decision after poor decision.
those bags of processed food I see in the film are at least 6 times more expensive than scratch made…..beans and rice and many other foods are very nutritious and relatively cheap….the first thing to do is make good choices with money
Skill Issue
Like in the US, many of the people in these stories about British poverty have a few things in common with their American cousins: single moms and some very expensive tattoos.
Job stands for 'Just Over Broke' and you need much more than just a job to stay afloat. Diversify your income, it's the only feasible way forward in recent decades. Start small, even if you just have 100 pounds, start trying to put your foot in the door into Index Mutual Funds at least, it's better than just working and doing nothing else. The old Boomer mindset of just getting a Job isn't enough anymore; Warren Buffet makes a good point : "Nobody wants to get rich slowly" and making money takes time.
America is toast. If you are still carrying debt after age 55, your hosed.
so why don't you change your job?
Why did Chinese from Southeast Asia migrated to UK?
The freemasons are the cause of this. But they are trying to hide it. Even on youtube censoring comments who expose them.
Shame on our government
This what how India was when I went there as a teenager from Zambia. Now India has changed – they afford everything. I am now South African for some 35yrs. . Lived in the UK for a bit in 1996. Was there on holiday in 2019 end – very different. Africa has sort of maintained. Europe is declined. Was in India earlier this month. Employee people going overseas on holiday, buying top end cars….
Sad for all going though pain.
Democrats: You don't understand the economy.
One in seven live in poverty
Thanks to universities across the globe for generosity of deductions for housing allowance ….
If the government wasn't taking money off of everyone to give to others we'd be ok
Samson, "our kids just come in to the country, there are four of them". WTF are THEY doing here FFS!
Its corrupted country.. If u dont change mind , then u will get all of them !!
The U.S. economy can actually get better if only the govt can start making better decisions for the sake of it's citizens, cos' they've really made life more difficult for its residents. Hyperinflation has left the less haves bearing the brunt of the burden. Its already eating into my entire $620k retirement portfolio. Like where else can we invest our money with less risks?
It is not how you work with your job, but about your lifestyle.
Cost of Living is increasing. Cant say what prices and wages can and will do, because its a double edged sword:
if interest rates are low, the ratrace begins and people who can get loans/mortgages start outbidding each other: prices goes up
If interest rates go up, people transfer that cost to consumers: prices goes up…
People live in welfare traps:
where they rely on benefits to live from paycheck to paycheck, and once they start earning enough they lose entitlement of help, so they work and stress double for the same poverty…
Well… most people in this footage have kids.
My opinion this housing ratrace should stop. The microfamily dreamrace should stop and multigenerational households should be back. Its not a shame to live with your parents if you become an adult (unless you have a toxic family).
Well… more and more people became childfree now. Done the math, anxiety won: cant afford a kid, wont have a kid. They call it DINK (dual income no kids). You get a bit higher in the wealth percentile, but still not a luxurious living. You need 1.5 minimum wage (38hrsweek) just to break even. If I recall the numbers people without kids usually 15% better… :/
Well… on the hand, people are the "richest" in their mid40-50s. Ideally student loans and mortgage are paid out, and kids moving out to start their own life. Thats when the avg people able to get some disposable income.
A good way not to be poor would be to have only one kid and not three.
the title of this video is the very definition of slavery lol. i believe the world and how its run is just a huge scam.
Maybe they should stop paying 100's of millions of dollars to have a Monarchy to get nothing in return for!! How many heat bills could be paid for if all that money wasn't going toward the lifestyles of a useless Monarchy?? The Monarchy that is sucking up all that money each year has no concern at all how the average person is affording to heat their homes in the winter!! So, Keep The Monarchy Alive At Your Own Peril!!
I make about 70k US dollars a year (or about 55k in UK pounds), and I am paycheck to paycheck. I mean, I am able to pay my bills and keep my family fed but by the end of each pay period I am down to maybe a few hundred in my bank account. It’s a great time if you are rich, but not so much if you are not.
Slaves!
The consequences from the Brexit
what people don't get when they try to compare being poor now a days to people poor during the great depression era is that during that era, MOST people were producers, not. consumers. when they had hardships, they could still mostly provide for themselves because they were skilled in doing so. Now, we have lost those skills to being consumers in the name of industrialisation and capitalism, so people are in worse situations now than they were before.
